Tintti Klapuri, Ph.D., Title of Docent, is University Lecturer in Russian literature at the University of Helsinki. Her fields of expertise are Anton Chekhov, fictional time and space, and transnational Russian literature.
In the project Klapuri focuses on the translation and reception history of the interwar period (1918–1939), looking at the ways in which Finnish and Finland-Swedish female translators, critics and writers mediated Russian literature to Finland. Klapuri’s research develops further her previous studies on the relationship between Russian and Finland-Swedish modernism.
